Note to readers 5-8-18

To our readers:

DeedSpeakOut is in a transition right now as we gear up to begin posting more original work. Please be patient with us while we prepare for the blog’s “next stage.”

In the meantime, you can check out DeedSpeakOut’s Facebook page (open), where we post several times a day, in the same areas this site covers (Health – Environment – Justice – Education + ILLINOIS, lots of Illinois) together with brief summaries and observations, pretty much in the same style as the blog.

If you enjoy the posts on the FB page (, please recommend it to friends, especially those interested in policy news/ updates.

Also: we’d welcome suggestions from readers about what you’d like to read about in future, what sorts of policy issues seem to merit longer discussions.

The long-term goal of DeedSpeakOut is to develop a genuine dialogue with our readers, with lots of substantive discussion (and links to further reading for us all).

In the meantime, our best to all – and remember, the blog’s Facebook page is also open to reader comments.
